Privacy Policy for Pawgic Ai Inc.

1. Introduction

Pawgic Ai Inc. (“Pawgic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you:

  • Use the P1 smart collar (“Collar”);

  • Download or use the Pawgic mobile application (“App”);

  • Visit our websites (including www.pawgic.ai) or related Services;

  • Interact with any other Pawgic features or services that link to this Privacy Policy.

By accessing or using the App, Collar, or any of our Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

Note: Our initial launch is focused on the United States and Canada. We plan to expand to additional regions (including the EU) within the next six months, and we may update this policy or include region-specific addenda accordingly.


2. Information We Collect

We collect a variety of information to provide and improve our products and services:

2.1 Account & Contact Information

Examples: Name, email address, phone number, hashed password, shipping/billing address if you purchase a Collar or subscribe to our Services.

2.2 Pet Information

Examples: Pet name, breed, age, weight, gender, health data you choose to provide (e.g., medical conditions, vet info).

2.3 Collar Information

  • Device Identifiers: Unique serial number or device ID for your P1 Collar.

  • Settings: Any preferences (e.g., geofence radius) you configure via the App.

2.4 Collar-Generated Data

  • Location Data: Real-time and historical GPS information (via LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS).

  • Activity Data: Steps taken, distance traveled, active minutes, sleep patterns.

  • Health Data: Heart rate, body temperature, or other sensor-derived metrics.

  • Battery & Connectivity: Battery status, LTE signal strength.

  • Sensor Data: Raw data from the Collar’s sensors, used to derive pet health or behavior insights.

2.5 Device & Usage Information

  • Mobile Device: Model, OS version, device identifiers (including IDFA on iOS or Google Ad ID on Android for analytics), IP address, mobile network info, and App version.

  • Usage Data: Features accessed, session duration, error/crash logs, in-app pages visited.

  • Communication Data: If you contact us via support email or phone, we may collect details of your inquiry or complaint.

2.6 Payment Information

Processed via third-party payment processors. We do not store your full card details on our servers. We may retain partial payment info or transaction references.

2.7 AI Features & External AI Providers

When you use AI functionalities (e.g., “AI Vet,” mood detection, or AI-based image generation), text prompts, images, or relevant data you submit may be processed by external AI services (e.g., Claude) to generate outputs or improve model performance. We do not sell personal data to these AI providers; however, they operate under their own privacy policies when acting as our service providers.

2.8 Petverse Social Features

  • User-Generated Content (UGC): Photos, comments, or location pins you share in Petverse may be visible to other users or publicly accessible, depending on your settings. You are responsible for any personal or sensitive details you choose to post.

2.9 Analytics & Crash Reporting

We use third-party analytics and crash-reporting tools, such as:

  • Google Analytics (via MonsterInsights) to track user interactions and app performance;

  • Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting;

  • Firebase for push notifications and usage analytics;

  • Postmark for sending transactional emails.

These tools may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, session data, or other information necessary for analytics or debugging.

2.10 Advertising & Tracking

  • We do not serve in-app advertisements.

  • We do not use IDFA or Google Ad ID for analytics or advertising.

  • These identifiers are not collected or processed by our systems.

  • We do not use them for personalized ad targeting or to serve third-party ads.

  • We do not engage in cross-app tracking or serve personalized advertisements.

2.11 User Consent and Permissions

We collect and process your data only when you give us explicit permission through in-app prompts. When requesting access to sensitive features like your device’s camera, microphone, or location, the App presents a permission dialog that clearly explains the purpose. You may accept or deny these permissions at any time and can modify them later in your device settings.

You are also asked to consent to data practices (such as account creation, analytics, or AI interactions) during onboarding or when accessing relevant features. We do not collect or use user data without your knowledge or approval.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Provide & Maintain Services: Operate the App, connect to the Collar, ensure real-time pet tracking, and offer relevant features (e.g., health/activity insights).

  • Pet Safety & Well-being: Enable location alerts, geofencing, and notifications about potential health/activity issues.

  • Personalize User Experience: Tailor insights or recommendations based on your pet’s health profile or your usage patterns.

  • Communicate: Respond to inquiries, provide support, send push notifications (e.g., battery alerts, geofence updates), and email you about updates or new features.

  • Improve & Develop: Analyze usage data and crash reports to troubleshoot, enhance performance, and develop new functionalities or collar models.

  • Research & Analytics: Conduct aggregated or anonymized data analyses to improve pet care solutions or generate broader insights into pet health/behavior.

  • Security & Fraud Prevention: Protect our systems, detect suspicious activity, and enforce our Terms of Use.

  • Legal & Compliance: Comply with laws, regulations, or lawful requests, including US privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA).

  • Marketing (Where permitted): Send promotional materials if you opt in or as allowed by law. You can opt out at any time.


4. Sharing Your Information

We may share your information under these circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Hosting, analytics (Google Analytics, Firebase), crash-reporting (Crashlytics), email delivery (Postmark), payment processing, or AI-based features.

  • They are contractually required to handle data securely and only for authorized purposes. They are only authorized to use personal information for the specific services they provide to us, as outlined in our agreements with them.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or bankruptcy. We will notify you of any changes in data ownership or usage.

  • Affiliates: With our affiliates, for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.

  • Legal Obligations: If required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, and safety of Pawgic or its users.

  • With Your Consent: For any other purpose you explicitly authorize.

  • Aggregated/Anonymized Data: Shared with third parties for research, product improvements, or other legitimate purposes. This data does not identify you personally.

  • Opt-In Marketing: We only share personal information with third parties for their own marketing if you opt in; you can withdraw this consent at any time.


5. Your Rights Under US Privacy Laws (CCPA/CPRA)

If you reside in specific U.S. states (e.g., California), you may have the following rights:

  • Right to Know: Request details of personal information collected and how it’s used or shared.

  • Right to Delete: Request we delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.

  • Right to Correct: Request inaccuracies in your personal data be corrected.

  • Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: Opt out of any “sale” of your info or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • Right to Limit Sensitive Info: Restrict use of sensitive data (e.g., geolocation, health metrics) unless necessary for core services.

  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We may need to verify your identity. You can also designate an authorized agent, subject to verification.

We do not sell personal information to third parties, as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not yet serve the EU, but if we expand, we will update this policy with any additional rights under GDPR.


6. Data Security

We implement measures aligned with industry best practices (e.g., encryption, secure hosting, access controls, employee training) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you suspect unauthorized activity, contact us immediately.

Where applicable, our third-party service providers (such as Firebase, Google Analytics, Postmark, and payment processors) comply with industry-recognized security standards including SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001.


7. Data Retention

  • We retain personal information (including location, health, or sensor data) for up to 24 months, unless you request deletion sooner or unless a longer period is required by law.

  • Aggregated/Anonymized Data may be kept indefinitely.

  • If you request account deletion (Section 9.2), we generally erase or anonymize your personal data after 90 days, except where needed for legal or operational obligations.


8. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 18 without parental consent. If you are 13–17 years old, you may only use the Services under the direct supervision of a parent/guardian who consents to this Privacy Policy. We do not knowingly collect info from children under 13 without verified parental consent. If you believe a minor has provided data without consent, contact us at info@pawgic.ai.


9. Account Deletion & User Controls

9.1 In-App Deletion Option

You can delete your account via the App’s “Profile” settings. After you confirm deletion, we will:

  • Retain the account data for up to 90 days before permanently removing it.

  • Use certain anonymized or aggregated data for internal training (AI model improvements) if needed.

9.2 Email Deletion Request

If you prefer, you may email info@pawgic.ai requesting full removal of all data, including training or analytics data. We will process such requests within 90 days and confirm deletion as required by law.


10. Chat Moderation & Petverse UGC

  • Private Messages: We store private chat messages on our servers for user sync, moderation, and “training” purposes.

  • Monitoring: We employ both proactive (automated tools) and reactive (user-flagged) moderation strategies to ensure community safety.

  • Time to Live: Chat logs and posted UGC may be retained for 24 months. After that, we either delete or anonymize older data.

  • Responsibility: You are responsible for content you share, and you should avoid posting sensitive info you do not want publicly accessible.


11. Cookies & Web Tracking

  • Website Cookies: Our website may use basic session cookies or similar technologies for user login, session management, or analytics. We do not use marketing/retargeting cookies currently.

  • Do Not Track (DNT): We do not currently respond to DNT signals. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may be limited.


12. International Data Transfer

Since Pawgic Ai Inc. is based in the United States, your data may be processed and stored in the U.S. If you access our services from outside the U.S. or Canada, you consent to this transfer. We will provide additional compliance details if/when we expand to other jurisdictions (e.g., the EU).


13. Third-Party Links & Services

Our App may link to or integrate with third-party services (e.g., external websites, AI providers, or payment processors). This Privacy Policy does not cover those external entities. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing your info with them.


14. Future Camera & Microphone Usage

We may allow you to use your device’s camera or microphone within the App to capture pet videos or photos for personal or Petverse sharing. We do not use these capabilities for any other purpose without your explicit permission.

Camera and microphone access is always user-initiated and used only for creating content(e.g., pet photos or videos) within the app. We do not collect or recorde audio/video in the background. Content is explicitly requested the first time these features are accessed.


15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. Material changes will be posted within the App or on our website, and we may notify you via email or push notification. The “Effective Date” indicates the date of the latest revisions. Continuing to use our App, Collar, or Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
