Pawgic Community Standards 

Welcome to Pawgic! Our community is dedicated to bringing pet owners together in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. To ensure that everyone enjoys their experience on our platform, we’ve created these Community Standards. By using our platform, you agree to follow these guidelines. 

1. Respecting the Community 

We want to build a welcoming, safe, and supportive space for all pet owners and lovers. We encourage kind, respectful, and understanding interactions. 

Prohibited Content 

The following content is not allowed on Pawgic: 

• Hate Speech and Discrimination: Content that targets individuals or groups based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other status protected by law. 

• Harassment and Bullying: Any content or behavior that intimidates, threatens, or harms others, whether directed at individuals or pets. 

• Violence and Harmful Behavior: Content that promotes or glorifies violence, abuse, or harm to animals or people. 

• Explicit or Adult Content: Content involving explicit sexual material or graphic violence. 

• Illegal Activities: Any content that promotes illegal behavior, including animal cruelty, theft, fraud, or other unlawful activities. 

• Misinformation: False information, especially regarding pets, health, or safety. 

Acceptable Content 

Content related to pets that celebrates their well-being, health, and positive behaviors. 
Information that supports responsible pet ownership, safety, and care. 
Respectful and supportive engagement with the community. 

2. Pet Accounts and Profiles 

Pawgic allows users to create profiles for their pets. Please adhere to these guidelines when creating and maintaining pet profiles: 

Accurate Information 

Ensure that pet profiles contain truthful and accurate information about your pet, including their name, breed, and any health conditions. 

Respectful Content 

Profiles should include content that is positive and appropriate for the community. Offensive or misleading descriptions of pets are prohibited. 

Impersonation 

Users should not create fake profiles or impersonate other pets. 

3. Content Sharing, Comments, and Activities 

Pawgic encourages users to share photos, videos, and activities related to their pets. However, please follow these guidelines: 

Positive Sharing 

Share content that celebrates your pets and promotes responsible care and safety. 

Respectful Interaction 

All comments should be constructive, kind, and respectful. Harassment or bullying will not be tolerated. Debate and differing opinions are welcomed but must remain respectful and rooted in facts. Trolling or provocation for reactionary purposes is prohibited. 

Spam 

Posting irrelevant or spammy content, including advertisements, is prohibited. This includes posting the same comment repeatedly, promoting non-pet-related services, or using bots for engagement. 

Lost and Found Pets 

Lost Pets: If you are posting a lost pet, provide accurate details such as the pet’s description, location, and your contact information. Please respect privacy by avoiding excessive personal details. 
Disclaimer: Pawgic is not responsible for any lost pets. We provide a platform for users to connect, but it is the responsibility of the pet owner to verify the information and take appropriate action to locate their pet. 
Found Pets: When posting a found pet, make sure you’ve verified the pet’s identity and provide clear information about the pet and its location. Be transparent with your contact details to help reunite the pet with its owner. 
Disclaimer: Pawgic is not responsible for any found pets. We facilitate the connection between pet owners and finders, but it is the responsibility of both parties to confirm the pet’s identity and coordinate the return. 

4. Privacy and Security 

Your privacy and the security of your data are important to us. To ensure a safe experience for everyone: 

Protect Personal Information 

Do not share your personal information, such as your home address or financial details, unless necessary (e.g., in lost pet posts). 

Respect Privacy Settings 

Respect other users’ privacy by adhering to visibility settings for posts (Friends, Public, Private). 

Data Protection Compliance 

Pawgic is committed to complying with data protection regulations globally, including laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the United States, and other relevant privacy laws in jurisdictions where our services are available. 

Pawgic may use cookies and analytics tools to enhance user experience. Some anonymized data may be shared with third-party services for performance optimization and platform improvement. For details, refer to our (Privacy Policy) 

5. Enforcement of Community Standards 

To maintain a positive experience for all users, we take action when violations occur. The following actions may be taken: 

Warnings 

Minor violations will result in a warning explaining the issue and how to correct it. 

Content Removal 

Content that violates these Community Standards will be removed. 

Temporary Suspension 

Repeated violations may result in a temporary suspension of your account. 

Permanent Ban 

Severe or repeated violations may lead to a permanent ban from Pawgic. 

Reporting Violations 

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these standards, you can report it: 

• Click the Report button next to the post, comment, or profile. 

• Provide a brief explanation of the issue. 

• You can also contact our support team via email for further assistance. 

Appeals Process 

If you believe that an enforcement action was taken in error, you can submit an appeal: 

• Submit your appeal through the Help Center or Support page. 

• Our team will review your appeal and respond within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 7–14 business days. 

Reported content will be reviewed by a dedicated moderation team. We aim to use a combination of automated detection tools and human review to ensure fairness and consistency. 

6. Legal Compliance 

By using Pawgic, you agree to comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to: 

Data Protection Laws 

Compliance with privacy regulations such as the GDPR, CCPA, and other local privacy laws relevant to your jurisdiction. 

Animal Welfare Laws 

Compliance with local, national, and international animal welfare laws to ensure that pets are treated with respect and care. 

Age Requirements 

Users must be 13 years of age or older to create an account. If you are under 13, please seek parental consent to use our platform. 

Consumer Protection Laws 

Pawgic adheres to global consumer protection standards, ensuring that our platform remains safe and transparent for users worldwide. 

7. Updates to Community Standards 

We may update these Community Standards from time to time. When significant changes are made: 

• We will notify users about the updates. 

• You will be encouraged to review the current version of the standards. 

8. Additional Guidelines and Best Practices 

Accountability for Harmful Content: Users must refrain from posting content that may harm animals, the community, or other users. This includes inappropriate or harmful advice on pet care. 

• Content Ownership and Licensing: By posting content, you retain ownership of the content, but you grant Pawgic a global, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and publicly display your content for promotional, marketing, or operational purposes related to the platform. 

• Age Restrictions and User Safety: While our platform is open to all users aged 13 and older, we strongly encourage parents and guardians to monitor their children’s activity on the platform. Inappropriate content shared by minors will be removed, and repeat offenses may lead to parental contact or account restriction in accordance with applicable laws. 

• Pet Welfare: Pawgic has a strict no tolerance policy for any content that promotes or showcases the mistreatment or abuse of animals. All pet related content should emphasize their health, happiness, and safety. 

• Emergency Protocols: Users who come across a pet in distress or danger should immediately contact local authorities or animal rescue services for help. Pawgic does not handle emergency situations directly. 

• Data Deletion Process: If you wish to delete your account or any data, you can contact customer support or visit your account settings. Please allow up to 30 days for account removal to be processed. 

9. Accessibility and User Support 

At Pawgic, we are committed to making our platform accessible and inclusive for all users. 

• Accessibility: We are working towards compliance with global accessibility standards to ensure users of all abilities can use Pawgic. 

• Support for Vulnerable Users: If you encounter abuse or feel unsafe on the platform, you can contact our Trust & Safety team directly via our Help Center.
